Leaving Fiscardo you will head to a traditional coastline village of Kefalonia for a coffee stop. Finally a photo stop of the stunning beach of Myrtos which the view from above is truly breathtaking.

    All about the Kefalonia Island Tour.

    Commence a scenic island drive through olive groves, vineyards and thick cypress glades. Passing through the Mount Aenos you will visit the Robola Winery and taste the famous Robola variety of wine. Explore the Drogarati Caves, famous for their acoustics where orchestras have held concerts and opera singers such as Maria Callas have sung. Visit the geological phenomenon that is the Melissani Lake which is in an underground cave. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the turquoise waters as the sun shines into the cave. Next, we go for lunch to the cosmopolitan village of Fiscardo, untouched after the great earthquake of 1953. Leaving Fiscardo you will head to the little fishing village of Assos, which gives the impression of being an island of its own. En route on our way back, you’ll make a photo stop at Myrtos Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

      The Cave of Drogarati is a must see attraction of Kefalonia. It is considered one of the best caves in Greece and it is the only one with such a large room with stalaktites and stalagmites. The big hall, decorated with stalactites and stalagmites, has excellent acoustics and is designed for concerts with a special platform.To visit the cave, one will have to climb specially designed steps.

    4. Melissani Lake Boat Trip

      The Lake of Melissani is a unique geological phenomenon located 2 km northwest of Sami. It’s unthinkable to visit the island and not do the boats trip into this spectacular geological wonder.

      The tour starts from the uncovered part of the cave where the light falls on the water and creates the most beautiful turquoise shades and continues in the part of the cave which is covered.

    5. Fiscardo Lunch Time

      You will have lunch at the picturesque village of Fiskardo, which has a small and diminishing fishing fleet.This fishing village is recognized as a traditional preservable settlement as it is one of the few villages that remained untouched from the major earthquake of 1953. Today it is known for its cosmopolitan and warm atmosphere.

      Dominated by the ruins of a 16th century Venetian castle, the village of Assos is built on a small peninsula reflecting a beautiful and warm atmosphere. The traditional architecture, the peaceful landscape and the pebbled beaches compose the natural beauty of Assos. There you will enjoy your coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.

    7. Myrtos Beach Photostop

      En route, on our way back you make a photo stop at Myrtos beach, voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top of them creating a spectacular setting.
