Efimia you will arrive at the magnificent Myrtos Beach.The beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top of them creating a spectacular setting. The beach is well-organized at the most part with umbrellas and sundecks while a small part remains completely unspoiled, ideal for total isolation.

    Starting from Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, and traveling from the port in a northerly direction, you will pass the town of Sami, famous from the Hollywood movie, “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” and you will arrive at the subterranean Lake of Melissani. Enjoy a boat ride across the mystical underground lake, where sunlight entering the caves turns the water bold blue and scatters rays of light around the whole interior. The headwater is in Argostoli, and it enters the cave by traveling underground across the island and through holes from the western coastline. Driving through the picturesque harbor of Ag. Efimia you will arrive at the magnificent Myrtos Beach.T he beach has a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top of them creating a spectacular setting. The lush green area, the abrupt terrain, the white pebbles, and the crystal waters compose stunning scenery.     2. Melissani Lake Visit inside, Boat ride

      The Lake of Melissani is a unique geological phenomenon located 2 km northwest of Sami. It’s unthinkable to visit the island and not do the boats trip into this spectacular geological wonder.

      The tour starts from the uncovered part of the cave where the light falls on the water and creates the most beautiful turquoise shades and continues in the part of the cave which is covered.

      Drive through the picturesque harbour of Ag. Efimia.

    4. Myrtos Beach Swim Stop for approx 2 hours

      Myrtos-the breathtakingly beautiful beach- has been ranked as the best beach in Greece and among the ten best beaches in the world.You will have the chance to swim in the turquoise water and lie at the white pebbles.
