All about the Northern Kefalonia (Fiscardo) Cruise | Transfer from Argostoli & Skala.

We will take you to Agia Efimia to join the cruise boat and sail off to the north of Kefalonia. First swimming stop on the west coast of Ithaka for a refreshing dip in the crystal blue sea. Back on board, sail towards the north brings you into the picturesque port of Fiscardo where you may lunch at the waterside tavernas and enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Look out for dolphins! They are very social creatures and often follow the boats. We finally sail off around the eastern coast of Kefalonia passing by a secluded beach for a second swim stop! Another opportunity here for a cooling swim and then back to Agia Efimia where your transport will be waiting for you to take you home.

Fiscardo is built on cypress-covered hillsides around hairpin bays and small coves. The village suffered less damage in the 1953 earthquake. Amongst some of the amazing sights to see in Fiscardo are the 19th century church, a stone sarcophagus and a depression in the rock measuring 2.3m deep, which the locals call “the throne of Queen Fiscardo”. From here to high can be seen Daskalio islet, considered to be the Astris of Homer, where – so the myth goes – Penelope’s suitors waited for Telemachus to return. The port of ancient Panormou is first mentioned in Homer, and according to the report by Riemann and Parts, it was today’s Fiscardo.

The harbour is usually full of yachts and quayside tavernas and cafés where you can sit and relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere, brushing shoulders with the world famous jet set.
