Without question Navagio beach (Shipwreck beach) is the most beautiful beach of the island and one of the most photographed beaches in the world.

The crystal blue color of the sea, together with the white sand and the steep cliffs  surrounding, are consisting an amazing site. In 1982 a small cargo ship aground  there, and since then its rusty keel “decorates” perfectly the beach.

The only way to get to the beach is by boat. There are daily cruises, which you can join that  starts from Agios Nikolaos Volimon port and get a chance to combine a visit to Blue Caves on your way to Navagio beach.

    4. Xigia beach (optional) Swimming

Xigia Beach is one of Zakynthos less advertised beaches. Maybe because it is not easily accessed since some walking down is involved…

Xigia is a great discovery. Some 6kms Northwest of Alykes on the west coast of the island, the so called rocky coast, a small secluded heaven is well hidden away.

Looking down to it from the top of the hill the view is breathtaking.

A tiny sandy beach with fine golden sand and clear turquoise waters with sulphur inviting everyone for a dive in.

Xigia is a definite must for those wanting to experience the real Zante!
