The collection presents artefacts dating from the Early Bronze Age through the Roman period, including remarkable finds associated with the Homeric tradition, such as fragments of bronze geometric tripods and a Hellenistic mask referring to Odysseus.
Here we discover the Cave of Loizos, an ancient sanctuary associated with the cult of Odysseus. Archaeological finds from the cave include offerings connected with the Phaeacians and the famous inscription “ΕΥΧΗΝ ΟΔΥΣΣΕΙ” — a prayer to Odysseus.
