What to do in three Days in Kefalonia!
1st Day | Myrtos beach-Fiscardo-Assos
You can’t leave the island without visiting the northern part of Kefalonia. Starting from Argostoli, heading up to north following the coastal road, you can stop first at the most photographed Myrtos beach. You can visit this beach at the morning, when the sun is not too high. Swimming, sunbathing and flying with parapente are the activities that can take place at this beach. After that you can continue to Assos peninsula and visit the small but picturesque village of Assos. You can wander around and have lunch at its waterside tavernas. Leaving Assos, heading to Fiscardo prepare yourself for living like a star! At the cosmopolitan Fiscardo, which is not damaged by the earthquake of 1953, you can feel like a celebrity among the beautiful landscape and the numerous yachts. Enjoy your coffee, dessert or cocktail at one seaside coffee shops or bars.
2nd Day | Melissani lake-Antisamos beach-AgiaEfimia
Driving through the mountain of Enos you arrive at the Melissani Lake in order to enjoy a relaxing tour at the underground lake by a small boat. Relax and feel the mysterious atmosphere hearing the tales for the nymph Melissanthi. Continue your journey through the town of Sami to the famous, by the Captain Corelli’s mandolin movie, Antisamos beach. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing and doing watersports at this marvelous beach. On your way back you can visit the picturesque village of AgiaEfimia and have lunch at this small fishing village
3rd Day | Argostoli and Lassi area-St George’s Castle
Leave for the last day of your vacation the area around the capital of Kefalonia. Spend some time at the pedestrians road-Lithostroto- in order to get some souvenirs. Visit the folklore museum and the Korgialenios Library and walk at the coastal road of Argostoli and at the DeBosset’s bridge. If you are lucky you will see a Caretta-Caretta sea turtle. Driving through the coast road heading to Lassi, you can visit Katavothres and the AgioiTheodoroiLighthouse and you can swim at the beaches situated at the Lassi area. Enjoy your lunch or dinner at St George’s castle where you can admire the beautiful view of the neighbouringZante from the top.
